Data Transfer

Data transfer with NIRSolutions

The value of NIR systems is not so much in the hard- and software but in the amount of data collected over the time because they represent a high investment in manpower and material. Food&Feed and pharmaceutical industries are using NIR systems from various vendors. Therefore data transfer between different systems is of high importance.

It is possible to transfer spectra collected with spectrometers from other vendors together with the associated property values into the NIRCal Chemometric Software in an easy and straightforward manner. Calibrations predominantly based on these data can be used for routine applications with the BUCHI NIRLab N-200 or the NIRFlex N-400 spectrometers respectively.

There is a lot of experience with the data transfer from Bran+Luebbe systems to either NIRLab N-200 or NIRFlex N-400.

Pharmaceutical industries are using the Bran+Luebbe InfraProver as well as the BUCHI NIRFlex N-400 FT-NIR spectrometers. Both instruments exhibit the identical optical layout utilizing a polarization interferometer. The NIRFlex N-400 is the only FT-NIR spectrometer that is fully compatible to InfraProver data. Therefore such data can be used for routine applications almost without any loss of precision or accuracy for the analysis with NIRFlex N-400, a fully 21 CFR Part 11 compliant system.

Especially in Food&Feed many instruments from Bran+Luebbe are in use. Despite the different technologies used it is possible to use data from dispersive and filter systems as a basis for NIRCal calibrations. Even if the spectral data from filter systems are not available, it is possible to import the regression equation.

Customers can maintain their huge amount of data, and broaden this basis with NIRLab N-200 spectra in order to yield reliable calibrations for routine work.

In addition good experiences had been made with the transfer of spectra recorded on Foss 5000 and 6500 systems. The transfer is possible for both Vision and WinISI software packages. However, data transfer is not limited to the above-mentioned instruments.

Please Note: The ownership of spectra should be respected! The BUCHI Transfer Modules should only be used for data of clear ownership. BUCHI Labortechnik AG has realised this specific transfer of spectra with the confirmation that the user holds the complete rights on the original spectra.
